I have a 1967/68 Geoffrey Butler which I am trying to acquire some of the last needed components. When I purchased the bike she appeared to be largely original with the following items on her:

Campagnolo 151 NR crankset Campagnolo NR front derailleur with the built in cable stop Campagnolo "patent" rear derailleur with 9 tooth jockey wheels and 2nd gen chrome spring cover Campagnolo 2 bolt alloy seat post Campagnolo NR chromed steel pedals with toe strap loops TDC headset

My question is, what brakes would be most accurate and accepted as period correct. Is this to early for Universal 68's? There is no indication of ever having had center pulls mounted as there was no front or rear cable hanger and the rear is a recessed allen head bolt fitting. If Universal 68's are to "new" what else might have been used? The bike had last version Campagnolo NR brakes on her when purchased so I know they were not original to the bike.

Lastly, what bar and stem would be recommended as that too was clearly a replacement from original (as was the yellow plastic Cinelli saddle)?

If it helps any, the bike was probably originally purchased as a frameset only, with headset and then outfitted after the purchase or at the time of purchase.

Thanks in advance,
