Subject: [CR]FA: 65cm Ron Stout Frame/Fork

Since there were no takers when I originally posted this frame for sale, I took it to eBay ... but in case anyone here is still interested, there's still a day left on the auction:

Custom Ron Stout frame/fork. 65cm seat tube C-T. 60cm top tube C-C. Reynolds 531. Serial number 9281, which I'm beginning to think means it was his 92nd frame built in 1981. It's definitely a late 1970s or early 1980s frame. I'm told that Ron only built a total of 554 frames out of Salt Lake City through the early 1990s.

Metallic green paint, in excellent condition with very few chips. 120mm rear spacing (for 5/6 speed freewheel hubs). Built for 27" wheels but may fit 700c with standard reach brakes with a 57mm reach, requires a nutted brakeset, not recessed.

Will fit 700c wheels with the Diacompe Mod. 610 centerpull brakes available from Rivendell (see http://rivendellbicycles.com/webalog/brakes/15111.html).

For those who care, it is built with Prugnat lugs, a Gargatte bottom bracket shell, and Cinelli fork crown. Campagnolo dropouts front/rear with fender eyelets.

Includes Campagnolo Nuovo Record ("Brev. Campagnolo") headset.

Would make a great fixed-gear conversion for the tall rider, or would be a good way for the taller rider to get a nice vintage handbuilt frame/fork.

You know there weren't many classic frames built this size.
