Mighty nice looking bike, Ann.

As to the chainring, I beleive the big ring gets less stress than the small, because the small ring is where you have the chain when you're grunting up the hills making a maximum effort, so I wouldn't worry about it. I'm using a Stronglight 93 ring with about the same level of swiss-cheesy-ness, and it seems to be holding up fine for me. Of course if you're too worried, feel free to send that fine looking ring my way.
