Hello,

I am holding a frame that someone wants to sell me, and they claim that it's a Bob Jackson frame. It's a lugged steel frame, and looks like it was primed (gray) but never painted. No fork. The serial number is 8 007. There are no other identifiying marks or labels. The lugs are quite plain, not carved like many of the other Bob Jackson frames I've seen pictures of.

The only other distinguishing characteristic is an unusual seat post binder arrangement: There is a hole cut through the bottom of the seat tube lug, facing the front of the bike, and it looks like some sort of expander bolt was meant to go through there and press up against the seat post. The seat tube has no split at the top like a normal frame.

Any possibility of you identifying this one way or the other?

Thanks

Steve Bowen
