HARVEY SACHS stopped by for some parts swapping this evening and we have a question to pose to the group
We were going to swap some CINELLI hub parts but were confronted with the fact that the parts we had ,FIXED nuts(that take the WINGBOLT(QR type device) and the WINGNUT have different threading.Seems the FIXED nuts have a double appearing thread while the spindle ends of the WINGBOLT are a single thread. We tried the parts off one of my bikes and this was also no go for the fixed nut
Are we dealing with worn or damaged parts or was there multiple thread pitches used ? any ideas to a fix? at this point there are few spares and we need to make do with what we have.
