If I'm right about the hazards Jerry? It's not my opinion, it's Shimano's WARNING that Shimano SIS derailleur housing was never designed to be used as brake housing, and to do so will result in SUDDEN BRAKE FAILURE!

Dale's cut off date for discussion on the CR list is 1984. The Bianchi Centenario is dated 1985 (their 100th year in business). C-Record came out in 1985. Sorry Jerry, but by Dale's rules it's off topic! Yuk, yuk, yuk...
