I have a 1975 vintage Woodrup star trophy model that I was rebuilding. The thing is the person I bought it from just had work done on it and had it resprayed by Woodrup. When I was searching for parts for it someone suggested respacing it. I just couldn't do it. the spacing is 125 mm so I just slummed around and waited till I stumbled on some old Maillard clinchers and also a set of Mavic tubulars. I cringed at the thought of trying to respace it. Just my 2 cents. There are plenty of retro parts available to fix up an oldie and does it really make that big of a difference riding a rear freeewheel that has 6 speeds compared to 9.
