Hello All,

I was given a circa. 1952 Cinelli Mod B frame. Three strikes on the frame: bent toptube, bent downtube and 53cm c-c frame size; I feel most comfortable on a 55-56cm. Before hauling the frame over to Peter Johnsons shop for retubing (Peter?). I built up the bike with all the period correct parts that this cycle was spec'd with: Simplex TdF rear, Competition changer, FB hubs, Cinelli headset and seatpost clamp and 11cm steel road stem. Despite its diminutive size, the bike felt very comfortable cruising around the neighborhood and my positioning felt "right". After the ride, I leaned the bike against the garage door, and despite the seatpost and stem being elevated to accommodate my size, it did'nt look too odd or out of proportion. This was due to the larger stack height of the Cinelli headset (lock nut and spacer) and the a seat lug which requires a seatpost clamp, these effectively concealed alot of seatpost and stem sticking out. So, despite it being below my ideale size-- it fits.

Regards,
Dave Martinez
