Subject: [CR]Girardengo from ebay

Well, I got the chrome Girardengo off ebay yesterday, took it to the bike shop to get the alignment all checked out (only about 1/20th of a mm off), everything else looks good. The major comment was that it was "heavy" (frame is about 10-11lbs w/forks). Apparently the bike was painted silver at one time, looks like someone polished up the tubes (because there are unpolished areas near the bottom bracket accompanied by what might be silver paint) and hand painted the lugs red with a BRUSH...wow. The frame is an eye catcher though....lots of people stopped to ask what it was. Hopefully I can afford to send it off soon to be painted. Would love to hear from people regarding paint shops. There is one shop that has my Giordana now....can't really say how well I like their work until I get that frame back, but input on good/bad shops would be appreciated!
