This brings us back to the question of when a repaired frame loses its identity. If this frame were repaired by Brian Baylis, replacing all the main tubes, would it then be an Eisentraut or a Baylis? Or perhaps a Baytraut? The best thing would be to have it repaired by Albert Eisentraut, but It has been said here that he is completely unemotional about his old frames, from which I assume he would either refuse to do the repairs, or would quote such a high price as to make it uneconomic.
