And here's why there were all those 36° Campagnolo 3-piece hubs left behind....

The drive side aluminum flange on the 3-piece rear hub was notorious for comming loose from the steel barrel (barrel ends were the bearing races).

Nobody wanted them and they were left behind (sniff sniff).
