I have a pair of normandy sport HF hubs, the front says, "Normandy 81", the back says, "Normandy 75 M". These are supposedly off the same bicycle, a peugeot, bought in 1981. Does anyone know what the "M" stands for ??
I'm hoping it doesn't stand for "M" - Metric - french threads. There is a suntour perfect freewheel attached.
Someone cut the hubs from some steel rims to mail them to me, so it will be a few days before i partially lace them up to take the freewheel off. Is there a way to detect if a normandy hub is french or english threaded without trying a freewheel ?? Campy hubs have an inscription; do normandy hubs have some indication ??
