My wife tells me I chatter, but I tell her that she natters...
My conscience warns me that I might be one of those recent chatterers, but I would like to think of myself as neither a chatterer nor a natterer, but a narrator..
The good news for those List members who don't like folks who chatter is that, just in case I am a chatterer, I shall cease my chatterings for a month or so from the 30 September when I intend to plunder the second-hand shops of France again in search of those Singers and Herses, where in the "hotels de vente" and "brocantes" I will be able to "bavarder" (ie chatter in Franglais) to my heart's content.
I have recently added some extra bike transportation facilities onto my estate car and wonder if any List member would like me to look out for anything special to bring back... for forward posting to the States. Some of my visits to France prove very fruitful others not so... it often depnds on the barns and lofts that are being cleaned out.
