I agree with Richard, it's all in your head. Or in the head of the frame builder who didn't do his job. I have a 1962 Masi Special that I got from Faliero in, guess when, 1962. After my racing days ended, I used the bike for several years in Europe touring with saddle bags (because the frame has eyelets), and tubulars, and a few more years in the US. Here I toured with saddle bags, tent and sleeping bag throughout the Northeast. The bike has never been crashed and remains straight, true and lively. In fact, it is my best ride, except for my, sacrilege, Calfee Dragonfly frame.
