I want to (belatedly) add my kudos to Chuck and all the attendees of Velo Rendezvous. I had more time to attend more events this year, and it was all the more rewarding. The last few years have expanded and deepened the SoCal community, but Velo has fostered an international community of fun and sunlovers coming together for homemade wine and Krispy Kreme, an irresistible combo. The mix of locals, distant regulars, and distant newcomers, and all those bikes is dizzying. A direct result for me was the fortuitous sequence of reconnecting with John Pergolizzi (and watching him take charge of Brian's crank when the wizard lost a pedal) and a few days later traveling to NY. A call to John, a plan was made, and last Saturday, he met me at my hotel and led me on a delightful tour of lower Manhattan, over the Brooklyn Bridge to Prospect Park for a few laps on the park road, and back, pointing out historical, architectural, and culinary highlights along the way. A great morning and I owe it to Velo! Aaron
