Angel quoted Norris from 2002, in part:

"of it ERnesto COLNago.. There is no doubt whatsoever that the frames were bought in and not manufactured by Colnago. Firms like TechoTube, Romani, Simonsini often acted as large subcontractors. It is likely that the brand was phased out gradually as the main brand became probably the world's best known and sought after one. I might have a catalogue somewhere. Hope the above proves useful."

I trust Norris implicitly, but the drop-outs on the ebay frame sure look like the 1010 longs... which would not have been seen on any factory bike by 1980...would they? this frame sure looks to me like a 70s piece. The graphics alone look 70s... I wonder if the Colner pre-dates the 80s?

Nice frame. I'm glad it's not my size, I might have to bid on it otherwise, and I need another frame about as much as a fish needs a Clement Criterium Seta Extra... but, of course, if you know any fish with some nice Extras that still hold air, send them contact me.. ;>

#1. THE PROBLEM: We have "overshot" the carrying capacity of Earth and are on the edge of "die-off" -- possibly even "die-out". Probably no more than two billion people could be sustained indefinitely.

#2. THE REASON: We (like other animals) are programmed to overshoot in the presence of "exceptional" (more than average) food, water & health care, etc. The net energy derived from fossil fuel that enabled us to produce exceptional food, water, etc. is "peaking" now.
