Subject: [CR]Seattle Bike Show this weekend

If you have not heard about it yet, the Northwest Classic and Vintage Bicycle Exhibition, sponsored by Elliott Bay Bicycles, is this Sunday at The Sand Point Activity Center at Magnuson Park in Seattle. Proceeds to benefit the Bicycle Alliance of Washington. There is a vintage ride of 18 miles leaving at 9 am, and the show and swap starts at 11. Exhibitors and swappers may get in at 8 to set up so you can go on the ride. There will be someone there to watch your stuff and keep out the riff-raff. Swappers please pre-register. There are categories for early (Pre-1971) and late (71-83) British, American, Italian, French, and International bikes, plus one for modern classic. A modern classic is any lugged or lugless bike built in the old style. No tig or aluminum bikes please unless it fits in one of the categories. This is for lightweight bikes which are road, track, or touring bikes, and sorry, but we do not cater to balloon tire bikes. There will be refreshments, and awards for the top bikes in each category. General Admission $5, Exhibitors $10 including all your bikes, and Swappers $20 for an 8 ft table. Complete information can be found at this website: http://www.hetchins.org/vintage-event.pdf You will need Adobe Acrobat to open it. And by the way, there is exciting cyclocross racing at the same place that day. Please spread the word. Questions to ebbikes1@aol.com. See you there!
