A friend recently sent me two pics of just a stunning and rather unusual
track bike made by Michigan builder George Omelenchuk. There is very little
about him in the archives. Apparently there was a Speed Skater, Jeanne
Omelenchuck that was related, (spouse). Have I heard of her racing bikes
also? He must not have built many bikes or his name would be part of our
basic vocabulary, judging from the beauty of the bike in my pics.
I think Ted Ernst once referred to some unusual wheels that Omelenchuck made
also. Can anyone shed more light on this builder?
