Historical research will point out that Peugeots and other mass market makers with racks, fenders and lighting preceded the start of production of Herse, Singer, Routens etc... Am I to believe therefore that Herse fell in line behind them? Wouldn't it perhaps be more correct to say that these constructeurs were simply astute businessmen who were able to translate an addition in workmanship to a comensurately increased sales price?
