g.s. Faema rider Charly Gaul (Lux.) on his way to winning the 1958 Tour de France. Bike is a Learco Guerra... probably in the traditional silvery-beige metallic with cream panels and green pinstriping. Note the tiny bit of seatpost showing.

Spectacular, stylish photo. I would never claim to be knowledgeable about racing pre-75 or so, but this bike seems noticeably "modern" -- small flange Campy front hub, side-pull brakes with relatively short reach, large-curve fork blades, and what looks like a fairly tight rear end. I'm loving the downtube cage AND bar cage. Very handsome pic, complimenti!
