I've noticed that, in addition to lugless bikes not being popular even when OT (or is that OT?), lugged frames are popular when they're not (e.g. most KoF makers). Is it really the lugs we're in love with, regardless of era? Would anybody slobber over a Moon or a Bayliss if it were tig-welded at the joints, or even fillet-brazed? That *would* make it very hard to chrome certain parts and not others, and I'm the first to admit a fetish for plated lugs. I suppose this has been thoroughly covered in the archives...

Dave "love my lugged frames best" Ross Portola Vally, CA now the proud (?) owner of 4 Zunows, 2 with and 2 without (lugs, that is, including the one "that went off last night"), all OT, I think.

Don't hear to much here about the lugless bikes that are withing the time and form factor that we all adhere to. We had that discussion last week about the Graftek and that one unusual Zunow that went off last night but by in large are there really desireable bikes that fall into this category that this groups would covet.
