In regards to his 100% positive feedback rating I would harldy consider this guy "eBay scum". A lot of us CR members have less than that, me included.

It is perfectly all right to retract a bid, not against ebay statutes at all. Maybe he found the same product at a more reasonable price? And I do not see why a $400 bid removed your $600 buy-it-now option. Somebody correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't the BIN stand until it is overbid? He did however retract his bid within the last 24 hours, but I hardly believe ebay will whack his pipi for that. He is, after all, a member with 163 good sales.

What about the other listees who've sold this guy something? Insights anyone? Scott Sweeney?

Hope you sell it nonetheless.
