What do you get when you combine 16 degrees, wind, open seas and bicycles. You get the Messenger Swap in NYC at the historic Frying Pan ship. The swap took place this morning on the docks that tested your sea legs all day. There were the hard core like Mike Schmidt, John Pergolizzi, Sam Fitzsimmonds (all the way from Md)and a few others that I recognized. Of course I was there and took these photos. Not the best shots in the world with my little phone camera but you can get a sense of the cold just from looking at them. There were about 15 tables of stuff to look over and you could get some neat items at good prices. There is a lot of incentive to sell when the temperature if forcing you to move around. As suspected a lot of track bikes, saw a rep from Bilinki there with some bikes. Quite a bit of multi speed bikes also. All in all a good time and for me an easy ride across the river. I will definitely do this again but please someone turn up the heat.
