Subject: [CR]steel cotterless cranks

Hi Folks:
Stronglight offered a 49A(for Acier)crank that closely resembled the 49D(Dural)during the fifties and sixties. Most I have seen were on Rochet touring bikes.
In Canada, starting in the thirties,CCM did a really cool steel cotterless on the real track bikes that has a triangular taper instead of square.
Finally, back in the 1890's,beautiful steel cranks were everywhere, some with secret puzzle crank assembly tricks.Very cunning.See Columbia Model 40 of 1895.And while we're at it,Racycle and D&J Patent.
