reminds me of a newspaper article from several years back, as the Christmas selling frenzy was upon us, the Playstation2 game machine was the hottest thing, only the supply wasn't meeting the demand, deperate buyers were lining up outside stores to get the few available units, meanwhile some scammer was selling empty PS2 boxes on Ebay for $200, you had to dig deep in the fine print to realize it was only a box you were buying and a good number were duped.

I bought today a full set of NOS C-Record derailleurs with shifters via "Buy It Now" for too good to be true 29,99EUR on german eBay (item 7143164518), because picture and header stated "C-Record derailleurs shifters NEW" and only after reading the full text I found out that the buy it now price only means the shifters and the derailleurs would be 160 EUR extra! Yes, basically my fault, I was too fast and probably avaricious. I just looked at the picture, price, the header line, saw that the auction just started and clicked the buy it now button. After my complaints the seller changed slightly at least the header lines of his other auctions but still some of them are probably misleading for non german speaking folks. There's for example an auction with a picture of SR titanium pedals (item 7143173970) but "buy it now" only means the box (pedals are 250 EUR extra ) and if you bid for the delta brakes you'll only get the levers. Seller is "syncropaul".
