You could but two things stop you. First the dill would probably drift and not be centered anymore and second find a 27.2 drill. ;^) Steven

Why couldn't one just cut most the seat post part above top tube and just drill bigger holes into the seat post till it walls were thin enough to just take out with a small bit of force
