Subject: [CR]Rims for a 1978 Raleigh Team Pro

It's been weeks since I've asked a question about Mavic rims! Either I am dense, getting old or Mavic rims are confusing as heck.... 43 diff erent types, all with totally unrelated brand names, few specs and drives me nuts! Whew that felt much better...

Now... what I am looking for to shod my latest acquisition (when it' s too cold, windy and rainy to ride, I buy bikes), a 1978 TI Raleigh Team Pro 753, are the early Mavic anodised rims which look black to me in pix and had large white MAVIC on them. The team seems to have used these startin g about mid season 1978 (or were they used for specific races or stages?).

Are these SSC rims? Are these relatively available or what one UK dealer refers to as "rare as rocking horse manure"? If so, any clues as to a reasonably available facsimile like the GP-4?? Prefer 21 mm width, light and racy but needs to look somewhat protypical. 32-hole. Are GP-4's 21 mm?

Many thanks for any guidance through the Maze de Mavic
