AFAIK, Paramounts officially began in 1937, with 50th Anniversary ones being issued in 1987. Am I incorrrect on this? I have an October, 1937 Wastyn that (I think) was built right around the time of the earliest Paramounts. ++++++++++++++ If I understood Richard Schwinn correctly, the first model year for the Paramount was 1938. Of course, given marketing "imperatives," that doesn't mean than none were built in 1937 as 1938 models. Richard was nice enough to send a copy of the catalog sheet for the 1938. I'll admit to a proprietary interest: My 1938, #A200, is one of the earlier ones.

If I am correct, and 1938 was the first model year, then 1987 was the 50th year of production... no conflict.
