I'm of the exact opposite opinion... I view informative posts about Technomic stems (an abomination on a vintage race bike) as drivel; explanations of what things used to be called in days gone by as very informative and actually something I'd be very interested in learning about.

But I'm willing to listen to talk of modern parts on old bikes if it will get people to ride them.
