Subject: [CR]c. 1972 Harry Quinn photo exhibit

Hello. I've posted a few photos of what was represented to me as a 1972 Harry Quinn with a respray. I've not tried to verify it's authenticity, but now I'd like to try if anyone can help.

Dave Ross is helping with his knowledgable contacts. Thanks Dave!

Serial number is Q3921 which seems consistant with the date and numbering system noted in The Custom Bicycle by Kolin & DeRosa. Seller said a friend acquired the frame in England (actually there were two). Of note, the finishing of the lugs and joints is not super smooth, though the lugs are thinned. There is quite a bit of brazing material around the fastback stays. So while pretty overall, the finish work isn't meticulous.

Also interesting, there is minimal swallowing of the rear dropouts by the chain and seat stays, less than any other frame I own. To save a little extra weight?

Lastly, largest BB shell cut-out's I've ever seen!

Enjoy, John
