I paid a visit to Greentree Bicycles on S. Pearl Street and almost came away with a bike! That place could be dangerous! A nice littte shop and the owner is a nice fellow. I can not believe I had missed that one for so long.

They had a 1977 Trek (TX900 I think) in very nice condition with some nice appointments as well. It had old logo cinelli bars/stem, 1977 NR read der, record brakes with flat q/r, an 82 chainset, and a pair of newer wheels on some ambrosia rims. No d/t down tube bosses but eyelets for fenders. The Columbus decal was perfect, no decals on the blades. Overall the frame was in excellent condition.

He was asking $499.00, I countered with $450.00 and he countered with $475.00. Since it is on the small side for me I told him I had to think about it but I may end up back there soon enough.

Also on the rack was a very pretty 54cm Heron touring bike, a Masi Gran Corsa, a mid 70's 60 cm Raliegh (Sorry Rod) and a chrome lugged Guerciotti framset in gourgous condition.

Ever since I trashed my 82 Trek 760 last year I have been keeping my eye out for a replacement. It was tempting. I don't think I can get him to budge much more on the price. Maybe $465.00.

Anybody want to offer some opinions off list to me. Good price, bad price. I would reate the condition of the frame a solid 8+/10. Thumbs up or down :)
