David, It did have a bit of a yellow tint. It polishes up pretty nicely, clear and shiny. The crown is different. Looks like you'd expect chrome to look. The metal polish just cleans chrome but doesn't turn black on rag. That's an interesting idea, that they might have forgot last step in plating.
