Recently however, I posted some items for sale. I was eager to see the posting so I kept checking my email. However, before the email containing my posting was in my inbox, I already had three listers email me that they wanted the item! Since FS items are often sold on a first-come, first-served basis, this system is only fair if everyone on the list is made aware of the posting at the same time, which is not to say that it isn't, but I wanted to bring my suspicions to the List's attention to see if others have had similar experiences. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Several months ago, I tried an alternative, and will use it more often if I post things for sale. I posted that I'd randomly choose among buyers 24 hr. after the digest was posted. Next time, I will go further, and change "random" to selecting from what seemed to be a real use, instead of just moving from my stash to another stash. I still like this approach, but would note that it has its vocal critics, too. With reason. Now, how does one say "Let the seller beware?"
