Subject: [CR]Regina Syncro freewheel

I recently overhauled a bike that had a Regina Syncro freewheel. This freewheel always had a rattle like sound in it until I poured enough thick oil in it and it collected enough dirt to quiet it down to about the sound of a normal freewheel. Yesterday when I soaked it in mineral spirits, and let it dry, I shook it and sure enough the rattle was back. I re-installed it and re-oiled it with the thickest oil I've got which I made from motor oil mixed with Phill Woods grease poured in while rotating. The rattley sound is now much quieted, but I still can't picture what's wrong inside, or if this kind of sound is normal for some Reginas. I might be tempted to open it up and check if it's missing a bearing or two or even if one pawl is missing a spring (how would I fix that?). I've only opened up one other freewheel in my life and using dental floss I was able to close it up again. I have also noticed that Regina can be quite cheap on e-bay, but maybe not in a 13-19 seven speed style like I prefer for flat country racing here in Florida. Any ideas about what this sound could be?
