Martin,

I might be almost tempted to give it a go, except I have one set of Columbus Air tubing with all the lugs and fittings sitting here. Got if for free. (It's not ecaxtly popular stuff.) Got a seat post from Alan to complete the package. I have plans to build one more aero tubing frame. Built one back in '88 with air tubing (which I still have) that was fillet brazed and has a custom made head tube which contained the headset INSIDE! Interesting design, including bars that were brazed to the fork crown directly.

The next one will be lugged using the Columbus lugs. It will be a track frame. Honestly, the tubes are for speciality use and don't make that good of all around bike, but ya gotta love the look!

Gee, what size should I make?

Garth talked about the aero and tear drop tubing.

I still have some boxes of 531 "speed stream" tubing waiting to be cut & stuck. As well as a very exotic 753 oval set (one of only about 12 ever drawn).

I do wonder if they will ever be built up. If any one ever fancies creating an 80s replica please drop me a line as I would love to see these tubes get used. (sorry no price, which is breaking list rules, but I do not expect there will be a rush of people wanting these. They would be prety much at cost prices)
