Here is an unusual cold setting example.

Rider who worked at the same shop for which I did, crashed his prize track bike. It had been built for a Paris show long ago, headtube about 3° out of alignment, strip the frame insert specially modified Ford model A axle into headtube and twist, and twist and twist, with increasing force and frustration. The frustration grew to the point of pushing it more the direction to which it was out of alignment. Boing! Frame had snapped back to straight. Huh? Well don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

One of those things that don't make sense, but is.
