Madison was a mid-priced track bike. Don't remember the details, but perhaps straight guage tubing, a bit heavier than Paramount, not quite as well finished, usually came with less expensive components. Not real fancy, but quite useable on the track, yet affordable. The Alek Velodrome in Houston some years ago used to have several Madisons they rented to riders who didn't have their own track bikes. Never rode one myself, but I did hear a few complaints that the BB was a bit low for a track machine.

Rob, A belated welcome to the list. Is this your Madison? http://www.bikecult.com/works/archive/schwmadison.html Nice ride. Just curious how it differs from a Paramount.
