We just picked up a Wheaties Schwinn Paramount frame that is new in the box. It must be from 1988 (slightly too new for CR? but lugged steel, KOF??) since it also has 50th ann decals on it. The serial number is DEAL and it has a chain stay decal that says "Dr Deutschmark" I did a search and came up with a roster for the team with: Schwinn - Wheaties

BROZNOWSKI Tom (USA) DIEHL Volker (ALL) ENGLEMAN Mike (USA) FARRELL Michael (USA) GUNTHER Roland (ALL) HATTON Gibby (USA) MCCORMACK Alan (IRL) RUTHERFORD Tim (USA) SMITH Doug (USA) SPEAKS Steve (USA) TILFORD Steve (USA) VAARTEN Michel (BEL) VAN HAUTE Danny (USA)

I am wondering if the DEAL serial number was the wrong spelling for Diehl?? Anyone know if his nickbname was "Dr Deutschmark" Thanks Jeff Archer First Flight Bicycles 216 S.
