Hey Lug Sniffer's,

Eagle eye David spotted a neato Olmo and Harvey asks more about these very distinctive lugs ... especially headtube.

I'm no authority on either the marque nor an expert on lugs but I have (a) feelings that they may be the the same lugs as used on this quite appealing early Torpado on the Vintage Velo's site ..... http://www.vintagevelos.com/torpado.html I wish the pictures were that little bit bigger so that I may find it of discomfort at having to uh .. um .. adjust myself if viewing in a public space ... but that's getting close to the recent topic of site content (or should that read sauce content?). Anyways, ne'er I dare to .. ah ... raise the ire of our good list master Dale.

That and the fact that beside my bed*** is a frame in primer with the same lugs but oh so many other beaut details. Maybe to the chagrin of the list, but I haven't even so much as thought about taking pics 'coz Im always too busy and/or just enjoying being a surfer bum. Well maybe not ........ soon, I promise. Of the lugs themselves I can only add that on the exmple before me I see that the edges are so crisp and square and the overall shape is even and symmetrical. No file marks, no shaping or thinning.

So I ask(eth) ... What other marques sport these lugs and what period are they likely to have been used? Cast? By who? ..... Don't tell me Gino, Mimo and Sal ...... I mean which company or what manufacturing firm, ya bozo's.

Carry on and bravo.

ciao,

*** Yes .. I sleep naked in a room with at least 5 on topic frames, a few of which will be offered to the list v. soon. Does my admission here make them now less appealing ?? We'll see ;)
