Hi , just thought I would briefly introduce myself. I'm Chris Velardi and live in North Haven CT in the Summers and Killington VT in the Winters . Back in like '77 or '78 I had Peter Weigle (of J.P. Weigle) custom make up a road race bike frame for me (after my off the shelf Fuji and I were struck by a drunk driver, I healed up better then the Fuji did) I trained on it and raced it one season up in school in VT, and it has lived most of it's life hanging next to my '61 MGA . Well it's down at the local bike shop being revived with new tubes and tires and lube and adjustment . Looking to get back in shape with the fond memories of my Weigle. Any other J.P.Weigle owners on the list? Peter had told me about the "Classic Rendezvous" site the meet today in MA he was going to and the upcoming event down in the Carolinas. Also found it interesting that Ebay has an "incomplete" JP Weigle bike for sale for the "Buy It Now " price of $1,700. It would be nice to think that other see value in what we do.
