Subject: [CR]your Masi track iron origin details and possibilities

Dear Galen,

If it is an Eyetalian Masi why does it have the American-made Henry James lugs ?

Looks like a mid-to late eighties American job to me - maybe check with Ted Kirkbride down in Southern Calif. somewhere. Is he still around the bike biz or is he retired/unavailable ?

Of course, we should not neglect to ponder the next obvious question of WHICH fine old Italian gentleman might have made this frame - was it Guiseppe STARK, Davide MOULTON, or maybe the late Davide TESCH ? Interesting how ALL of them dropped the vowels at the end of their names after emigrating from the old country, eh.

Enjoy your fine bike - it is gorgeous !
