Benotto offered a Model 3000 Aquila del Tachira in 1986 with SLX tubing. That is the only SLX tubing model I show in the Used Bike Buyers Guide, although likely there were others that I don't know about. Also, I believe that Benotto continued to offer Italian made bikes into the 1980s. My information says they were made in Padova, but I don't know whether that was contracted out or not. IIRC, SLX wasn't introduced until the mid-80s.
