Another option is the use of an adapter. My track bike has an adapter to allow the use of 80 mm BCD inner rings. Even better is a criterium addapter which allows the use of 152 mm BCD crterium chainrings so that chainrings can be changed without removing the crank or pedals. I found one of these on ebay.
