Subject: [CR]Question re Campy cable clip diameter (and update about packing rims)

hi everybody,

i looked this up in the archives but didn't get any hits. do the chrome campy cable clips fit around 1 1/8 inch top tubes? i know they fit 1 inch tubes, but it doesn't look like they would fit correctly around anything larger. does anybody know for sure? by the way, i don't know that there would be a difference, but the ones i have are not the stainless steel ones.

also, thanks to everybody who has written about shipping rims. i am going to ship a few sets by wrapping each rim with bubble wrap, then taping them together, then putting them in a large plastic bag, and wrapping with heavy tape radially to create a disc. several people have indicated that they have shipped and received rims this way without a problem. i realize the rims will be at a higher risk of damage than with a good box, but i'm not shipping rare rims so i think i'll try this method. i'll let the list know after i've shipped a few sets.
