Nic, not sure if you read my post last week re the specifications but the catalogue I have is exactly the same as your scan. So, thanks for a date, as the catalogue I have is undated. I imagine this was the full 1974 range, probably introduced for the 73 Earls Court Show. I am sure Eddy was NOT riding a Falcon for the publicity shot. At least it doesn't look like Cleethorpes! Hello all, What with all of the interesting Falcon Eddy Merckx posts this week I have gotten around to scanning a 4 page advertisement that appeared in 'Cycling' back in 1974. The advertisement shows all of the Falcon Merckx

models including the top of the range 'Super Competition model 102' right down to the 'Supporter model 114', there is even 2 ladies models! (no photos of these though). The photos and specifications will come in handy for identify the various models.

There is also a great photo of Eddy at speed and I was wondering if it was at all possible that he could be on a Falcon model shipped over for Eddy to ride especially for the photo shoot? Probably not but it's a nice thought anyway.
