Hello Bob, This all depends on what you mean by cable braze-ons. If you mean cable stops for an outer cable to run a bare wire Carlton were doing this in the 60's putting theirs on the top of the TT, I suspect that other makers did this even earlier in the 50's. But braze-ons for full outer cable runs about 1975 the first one I can remember seeing was on Roger De Vlaeminck's Gios in 1975 when he was riding for Brooklyn gum. Cheers Mick.
