Thanks everyone for the positive feedback, and the many questions! I'll try to answer as many as I can, but that will take some time, and some probing here and there. Descriptions with the pics at wooljersey are appearing as w e speak.
Time for a little Masi anecdote. Initiator of the show Piet S. and me appeared at 8 o'clock in the morning at the venue, 9 o'clock was the start time for participants to arrive and install their bikes. At 8.30 a perfectl y restored 1965 creamy white Alfa Romeo Giulia GT Veloce (twin Webers?) turns into the parking lot. The driver steps out, an older gentleman, linnen slacks, slicked back hair, metallic light blue sneakers. He starts talking to us, about the bikes that we are just unloading. Piet has leaned his sati n grey and yellow Masi against his car, so this guy walks up and says: I've got a Masi myself, built for me in 85, perfect condition, Jubilee gruppo, had offers of over 4000 euros, don't want to sell it. He keeps on bragging, so Piet dares him: stop talking, just bring your bike! So an hour later he's back, with the most stunningly beautiful Masi i've ever seen (no disrespect to anyone!), maybe perversely so. Light blue pearl metallic. Just like his sneakers. Jubilee gruppo, just like he said. He put s his bike on a stand, and hangs a card on it: 'te koop'. For sale! This guy certainly has a nerve. About two hours later he walks up to me, asks: do you have some steel wire? I said no, but I can give you an old spoke. Turns out he'd locked himself out of his perfectly restored Alfa. The spoke was too short, he had to call road assistance to get into his car.
We have no idea who he was, or how he knew that the show was on.
