Best deal ever? A Frejus Professional with all NR for $65 at a garage sale.
I bought it for my then ten-year old daughter (who this weekend celebrates her 32 birthday) because she wanted a "ten speed bicycle." After two weeks, she quit riding it. I startet to ride it to pick up milk, do errands, that type of activity. This was after about a six year hiatus from riding bikes. (The Frejus happened to be close to my size too.)
I probably have gotten "better deals," but this purchase precipatated my descent into bicycle dementia. The Frejus is long gone, only to be replaced by a garage full of bikes.
There exists on my part a certain degree of hesitancy in calling it the bes t deal because it led to the garage full and bicycle goofdom.
