I agree with much of what Ray says and may have missed some ot this conversation but, who says the frames and forks are original. What about all the perfect Masi with one, two, three tubes replaced. And, while we are at it all the perfect Baylis, Litton paint jobs. Nothing original there. We've been here before. Some of these restored "originals" have very little left that is original! I have a 74 Masi GC hanging in my basement that was raced for so long that there is nothing left of it. Bottom bracket rusted out, seat lug bulged out, top and seat tube cracked at seat lug, etc. I've had offers for it from guys who want to restore it. RESTORE? I think reproduce is a better description. And we're worried about repro hoods? I don't get it. Edward Albert Chappaqua, New York
