Hi all, I find that Guidoplast cloth tape works very well indeed (and lays flatter than most)especially if you 'whip' the ends and then varnish over it all...Dan Goldbergs page states use shellac but in the UK it ain't that easy to find, so I used mid oak acrylic woodstain and varnish in one from a leading company. With 3 thin coats the efect has been outstanding and as well as making the bars look great it refuses to work loose even when wet . Regarding werid Ebay sales I have seen one or two of these in the UK and have been weary of some others but I can vouch for the guy in Cyprus selling old bike bits , Mafac,Universal brakes, Reg bottle cages etc very good indeed ( I am no relative just a very satisfied customer). I have also found many of our Japanese friends excellent Ebayers Irecently had a guy fly from Japan to pick up a Moulton! he even brought a cake for my wife.
